OMRON Celebrates 90 Years of Innovation
Since its establishment in 1933 as Tateisi Electric Manufacturing Co., OMRON has supported industry with innovative solutions and advanced technologies.
OMRON has now more than 29,000 employees working to provide products and services in 120 countries, in a variety of fields, ranging from industrial automation and electronic components to social systems including automated ticket gates, solar power conditioners, healthcare.
The company has head offices in Japan (Kyoto), Asia Pacific (Singapore), China (Hong Kong), Europe (Amsterdam) and US (Chicago). The European organisation has its own development and manufacturing facilities, and provides local customer support in all European countries.

The origin of the name "OMRON" can be found in "Omuro," the district where Mr. Tateisi first set up shop in Kyoto city.
