Two dimensional codes (2D), instead of traditional bar codes, are increasingly being used by different manufacturers to support PCB assembly traceability. All Omron VT WIN II and VT RNS machines can be configured so that 2D codes can be read via the machine camera. This function is optional on both platforms. For automatic launch of inspection programs an external 2D Code Reader is required. This function is optional on both VT WIN II and VT RNS platforms.
